Financial Transparency and Accountability at To Rise Up
At To Rise Up, we are committed to financial transparency and accountability in all aspects of our work. As a newly established organization, our financial activities have primarily been supported by contributions and projects undertaken by our individual members, rather than traditional NGO-related funding.
We adhere to the highest standards of financial integrity, ensuring that any funds received in the future will be publicly disclosed. This guarantees that our donors, partners, and stakeholders are fully informed about how resources are allocated and utilized.
To reinforce this commitment, an independent auditor in Norway oversees our financial management and accounting processes. This ensures compliance with international accounting standards and best practices.
Additionally, To Rise Up operates in full compliance with:
• The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU 2016/679) – ensuring financial transparency, donor privacy, and ethical fundraising practices within European Union regulations.
• The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) (U.S.) – preventing financial misconduct and upholding ethical financial operations in compliance with U.S. anti-corruption laws.
• The Norwegian Accounting Act (Regnskapsloven) – ensuring compliance with Norway’s legal framework for nonprofit financial management, reporting, and accountability.
• Local Laws in Project-Implementing Countries – ensuring that all financial and operational activities comply with national laws and regulations in the regions where our projects are conducted.
We strive to build a sustainable, ethical, and accountable financial structure that supports our mission while maintaining the trust of our community and funders.
