Hlynur Runarsson – Vice President
An IT consultant, security & compliance expert, and senior solutions architect, Hlynur Runarsson brings a strategic and innovative approach to human rights advocacy. As the founder of a youth organization promoting inclusion and a board member of ACDC, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to community building and social equity. His expertise in technology, strategy, and organizational development strengthens To Rise Up’s mission for impactful, sustainable change.


Afshin Manesh – Treasury & Financial Oversight
With over 30 years of experience in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors across Iran, the UAE, Turkey, and the U.S., Afshin Manesh brings a global perspective on financial management and compliance. His expertise in nonprofit financial oversight, auditing, tax compliance, accounting, and payroll administration ensures transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of funds that support To Rise Up’s mission for social impact and systemic change.
Benyamin Farnam – Director of Operations
An acclaimed filmmaker, photographer, writer, and journalist, Benyamin Farnam is a dedicated human rights advocate with a focus on gender, sexuality, and marginalized communities. As a leader in LGBTQ+ advocacy and a member of Oslo’s Gender and Sexuality Diversity Committee, his work in investigative journalism and documentary filmmaking has amplified underrepresented voices. His role at To Rise Up strengthens its cultural and human rights advocacy through impactful storytelling and strategic operations.
